Help us support a mother and her three children as they escape an abusive situation and start afresh. Read her story below;

Dear Supporters,

I am a mother of three beautiful children. I am writing to you today because I need your help to escape my abusive marriage and restart my life.

I have been married for 11 years and have gone through a lot of mental & physical abuse. My children have been in a toxic environment for years. I have tried to leave so many times, but he’s using the kids against me, he wants to take them away from me. Anytime i try to leave, he’s trying to isolate me from my family.

He doesn’t have a job for 7years now, he doesn’t want to get one to help with the family. So I work every day, I have 2-3 jobs i do so i can take care of my kids. It’s been really challenging, and even after doing all of these i still get abused mentally, for him am not good enough. I don’t even get to see my family. I don’t get to visit them except once in a year.

I’m currently battling with depression but he doesn’t care how it’s affecting me, my mom wants me to stay married to him so he doesn’t take my kids away from me. This whole situation has been affecting my mental health, my kids are also stressed and unhappy with the whole situation. We really want to leave, so we can be far away from that toxic environment.

Seeing their mother being beaten and they can’t do anything about it has been traumatizing for them, it has been that way for a long time. My kids are so scared of him, we are really tired and exhausted been on guard every single time. We’re just stuck here.

I need your support to escape. I am asking for your help to secure a safe apartment where my children and I can live without fear. I also need assistance with school fees to ensure my kids can continue their education, as well as basic necessities like furniture, clothing, and household items to make our new place feel like home. Finally, I am seeking help to start my own event planning business, which will allow me to provide for my family independently and build a stable future for us.
